This policy explains how Noregna AS processes personal data when you use the website noregna.no. We process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Norwegian Personal Data Act.

What personal data we process

When you fill in the contact form on the website, we record:

  • First and last name
  • Email address
  • Phone number – optional
  • Company name – including the organisation number if you pick your company from the search against the Brønnøysund Register Centre

We do not ask for, and do not wish to receive, sensitive personal data, bank details or information about your own clients through this form.

In addition, technical data such as your IP address and browser information is processed when you visit the site. This happens at our hosting provider and at the third parties listed below.

Purposes and legal basis

  • Answering enquiries and arranging demos: The basis is our legitimate interest in following up those who get in touch, cf. GDPR Article 6(1)(f). If you get in touch in order to enter into an agreement, the basis is Article 6(1)(b).
  • Providing access to the free trial: The basis is that processing is necessary to perform a contract with you, cf. Article 6(1)(b).
  • Protecting the website against misuse: We use Google reCAPTCHA to prevent automated spam. The basis is our legitimate interest in securing the service, cf. Article 6(1)(f).
  • Strictly necessary cookies: To maintain your session and remember your language choice. See our cookie policy.

How long we keep the data

Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to follow them up, and are deleted no later than 12 months after the last contact if no customer relationship has arisen. If you become a customer, the data is processed further as part of that relationship. Data we are required to retain under other legislation, such as the Norwegian Bookkeeping Act, is kept for as long as that duty lasts.

Who we share data with

We never sell personal data. Data may be processed by the following categories of providers, acting either as our data processors or as independent controllers:

  • Hosting provider: Operation and storage of the website.
  • Email provider: Sending confirmation of your enquiry.
  • Google: reCAPTCHA on pages with forms, the map on the contact page, and fonts loaded from Google servers. Google receives your IP address in these cases.
  • Brønnøysund Register Centre: If you use the company search in the form, your query is sent to the open API of the Norwegian Central Coordinating Register.
  • Content delivery networks: jsDelivr, Cloudflare and unpkg serve scripts and stylesheets, and receive your IP address when pages load.

We do not otherwise disclose data to others unless we are legally required to do so.

Transfers outside the EEA

Some of the providers above are established outside the EEA, mainly in the United States. Such transfers take place on the basis of the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU adequacy decision under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Your rights

You have the right to request:

  • Access to the data we hold about you
  • Rectification of inaccurate data
  • Erasure of data we no longer have grounds to process
  • Restriction of processing
  • Data portability – to receive your data in a machine-readable format
  • To object to processing based on legitimate interest

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

Right to complain

If you believe we process your personal data in breach of the rules, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet). We encourage you to contact us at post@noregna.no first, so that we have the opportunity to look into the matter and put things right.

Security

We have technical and organisational measures in place to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration and deletion. Transfers between your browser and the website are encrypted.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will give notice on the website of any material changes. The date at the top shows when the policy was last changed.
